Virtual Therapy

Virtual Individual Therapy for Children and Adolescents

In these uncertain times it can be difficult to find someone whom you feel comfortable confiding in and discussing your hardships with. Dr. Frost is specifically trained to help children and adolescents under 18 years of age experiencing psychological distress.

Virtual individual therapy enables youth to talk one-on-one with a registered psychologist from the comfort of their own home. They can be empowered by setting therapeutic goals and working towards them. Some may wish to learn new coping skills when experiencing stress or to have someone to talk to about a troubling event. Others may wish to share their thoughts and learn new ways to think about themselves. Therapy sessions are tailored towards the youth to help them grow.

Virtual therapy may be a great option for those living in rural areas that may otherwise have difficulty accessing therapeutic services from a psychologist. It may also be more convenient for families (i.e., scheduling flexibility, not having to drive to an office). Sessions can be conducted via phone, video conference, or a combination of both.

It is important to note that virtual therapy isn’t for everyone. For those experiencing significant psychiatric problems or persistent thoughts of self-harm, in-person services from another provider are recommended.
